I am Chibuzor Mirian Azubuike, author of the best selling book The Girl Who Found Water and founder of Haske Water Aid and Empowerment Foundation. An NGO that has provided water for over 20,000 persons in rural communities and youth empowerment. Amarachi is a Chant Performer, Poet, Culture Consultant, Mother-Tongue Advocate and Coach of the Sound Your Gong Mentorship program- a monthly confidence for productivity empowerment program. Her core interests are indigenous language sustainability, culture curation, intangible heritage preservation, community engagement, art therapy for mental well-being and empowering our individual uniqueness.
She has spoken and performed in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, the United Kingdom (where she completed a four-month performance fellowship with the British Royal National Theatre), and many performances USA, some of which is Gendering Africa Symposium, an annual Africa Women Conference at Columbia University, Intangible Cultural Heritage showcase, at Syracuse University.
New York, Presentation at the Women's Caucus at the 2022 African Studies Conference, Philadelphia, Presentation at the New York Whiteman, Syracuse. She was also selected as one of the participants for Performance Identities Across Cultures (PICS) 2022, and one of the judges for the Lagos/London poetry Translation Centre in partnership with Book Foundation, funded by British Council.
